Nails Nails Nails

So I am all about having my nails done all the time. However, getting them done professionally all the time takes a lot of money. Instead I like to save special occasions for when I go to a nail salon. I like to shop around Walgreens, Target, and Walmart for cute fake nails. But hey let's not forget the Dollar Tree guys! Sometimes I find the cutest nails there and they are only a dollar!!!

Check out my recent deal :)
Keep this in mind, both of these sets are kid sized so you need to have some pretty small nails, and be prepared to buy more than 1 set of each or mix and match because it is most likely you will have complications on fit.

PUT A RING ON IT

Alright so looking at this post http://allaboutbabytigerlily.blogspot.com/2014/02/ulta-glitter-eye-top-coat.html you can tell that put a ring on it is a sparkly silver glitter top coat

I personally like to put it on top of silver, sliver-blue, or black eyeshadow that is placed on the lid. Sometimes fallout occurs and if that bothers you, just spritz some setting spray on your brush/applicator, then dip it in the glitter top coat and then place it on top of your lid.

If you go with a dramatic eye look, be sure to keep everything else simple. Such as lips, and blush.
The focal point should be your eyes.

Silver base with silver glitter.

FAIRY PRINCESS
Very pretty pink with green, blue, and silver glitter.

I bought these when Ulta had a buy 1 get 1 free on ulta products. They usually retail for $8. These are super glittery and perfect. Warning: there will be fallout but try spraying your brush with setting spray, then dip the brush into the glitter and then place on your eyelid. I personally use fairy princess a lot more because I do a lot of neutral browns and pinks for an everyday look.

It's a lot easier to deal with glitter that packed in a pan like this rather than loose glitter in a container. Loose glitter can get very messy VERY fast.
If you are going for a fast all over application, it may just be easier to use your fingertips rather than opting for a brush. I find it easier to control the saturation of glitter and the placement by using my ring finger or my pointer finger.

When working with glitter just take your time and have fun!!

These are also great to use during cheer competitions or for theater makeup.

Prep Halloween 2013

My favorite holiday is Halloween! Hands down my favorite time of year! I love love love love love love everything about the halloween season :D So I take my makeup pretty seriously for halloween which usually makes me try out makeup looks several days in advance and then a final preview the night before halloween. I try to incorporate glitter into my halloween looks every year so this is what I came up for my "final preview." I had a really hard time deciding whether to do a "green witch" or "purple witch" look. Since purple is my favorite color I chose to stick with purple and make the magic happen!

For all my glitter application I used normal body glitter and eyelash adhesive as the binding agent. I drew the pattern of where I wanted to glitter using a q-tip and the eyelash adhesive, then I patted on the glitter with an old eyeshadow brush that I use specifically for glitter.
I used the same process mentioned above to create the design on my leg. I was trying to go for a branch (like tree branches) and swirl type look. Last minute I added the heart at the top of the design to try and sweeten up the look.

These two pictures help you get a closer look at the glitter on my leg :)

Hope you guys like my preview look :)
