Mascara is a girls best friend and I have two products to review.

L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Voluminous Mascara & L'Oreal Voluminous Primer

So I was pretty skeptical about using a primer and a non-waterproof mascara. I am a 100% waterproof mascara kind of girl just because it is fool proof, non-smudging, and lasts through whatever life hands you (including crazy Texas weather patterns).

After spending a couple of weeks trying these two products out together and using the primer with other mascaras (such as L'Oreal Miss Manga Rock and L'Oreal Miss Manga) I've come to a decision....I LOVE THESE!

Carbon Black Voluminous Mascara
-For a non-waterproof mascara this formula holds up really well meaning no flakes on the cheeks and no transfers to the lid
-It is a really wet formula so be careful during application
-Makes the lashes super dark
-Overall 10/10

Voluminous Primer
-It's a white primer
-Build-able (I like only doing 2 coats so there is little chances of clumping)
-Makes the lashes noticeably longer
-It's also nice that it works with different mascaras and not just the Voluminous line

Below is a picture with the products:
Left Side: Just the Carbon Black Voluminous Mascara
Right Side (the one with the pointer): Both the Voluminous Primer & Carbon Black Voluminous Mascara

Let me know what your thoughts are on these products!!!

L 'Oreal Paris EverCurl Sculpt & Hold Cream-Gel

The case with curly hair is there is a never ending hunt for good hair products. Products that don't weigh your curls down, or make your head crunchy or looking oily, etc. My mom found this product (L 'Oreal Paris EverCurl Sculpt & Hold Cream-Gel) at a discounted price when it was normally priced around $8.99. So she decided why not and it was sulfate free.

Here are the claims that can be found on the brands website : http://www.lorealparisusa.com/en/products/hair-care/products/hair-treatments/evercurl-sculpt-and-hold-cream-gel.aspx

1: Detangles
2: Separates Curls
3: Adds Shine

I usually use a cream or oil based product to detangle my hair when it's still damp. With this product I noticed immediately how hard it was to get my brush through my hair as if the ends were all sticking and clumping together. Not only was it hard to get my brush through damp hair, it felt like half of the moisture vanished and it was brittle and looked dull and felt absolutely horrible. My experience was the exact opposite from all of the claims. It did not detangle my hair, it did not separate my curls, and it did not add shine.

All in all I wish this would have worked but it didn't. Even if you find this product on clearance stay away. We returned the product the day after we tested it out.

Being a curly girl is not a game.
