Mascara is a girls best friend and I have two products to review.

L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Voluminous Mascara & L'Oreal Voluminous Primer

So I was pretty skeptical about using a primer and a non-waterproof mascara. I am a 100% waterproof mascara kind of girl just because it is fool proof, non-smudging, and lasts through whatever life hands you (including crazy Texas weather patterns).

After spending a couple of weeks trying these two products out together and using the primer with other mascaras (such as L'Oreal Miss Manga Rock and L'Oreal Miss Manga) I've come to a decision....I LOVE THESE!

Carbon Black Voluminous Mascara
-For a non-waterproof mascara this formula holds up really well meaning no flakes on the cheeks and no transfers to the lid
-It is a really wet formula so be careful during application
-Makes the lashes super dark
-Overall 10/10

Voluminous Primer
-It's a white primer
-Build-able (I like only doing 2 coats so there is little chances of clumping)
-Makes the lashes noticeably longer
-It's also nice that it works with different mascaras and not just the Voluminous line

Below is a picture with the products:

Right Side (the one with the pointer): Both the Voluminous Primer & Carbon Black Voluminous Mascara

Let me know what your thoughts are on these products!!!

Pantene Pro-V Airspray

Thanks @Influenster for the Pantene's #airspray! A strong hold that doesn't weigh curly hair down or make it crunchy, sticky, or oily. Plus it smells absolutely amazing! Hairspray can be used on naturally curly hair not just straight hair days! It makes my frizz vanish without making my curls heavy or crunchy.

#PanteneXInfluenster #HelloAirspray Received product for free in return for an honest opinion.

L 'Oreal Paris EverCurl Sculpt & Hold Cream-Gel

The case with curly hair is there is a never ending hunt for good hair products. Products that don't weigh your curls down, or make your head crunchy or looking oily, etc. My mom found this product (L 'Oreal Paris EverCurl Sculpt & Hold Cream-Gel) at a discounted price when it was normally priced around $8.99. So she decided why not and it was sulfate free.

Here are the claims that can be found on the brands website : http://www.lorealparisusa.com/en/products/hair-care/products/hair-treatments/evercurl-sculpt-and-hold-cream-gel.aspx

1: Detangles
2: Separates Curls
3: Adds Shine

I usually use a cream or oil based product to detangle my hair when it's still damp. With this product I noticed immediately how hard it was to get my brush through my hair as if the ends were all sticking and clumping together. Not only was it hard to get my brush through damp hair, it felt like half of the moisture vanished and it was brittle and looked dull and felt absolutely horrible. My experience was the exact opposite from all of the claims. It did not detangle my hair, it did not separate my curls, and it did not add shine.

All in all I wish this would have worked but it didn't. Even if you find this product on clearance stay away. We returned the product the day after we tested it out.

Being a curly girl is not a game.

Tarte Double Duty Beauty Lip Sculptor Lipstick & Lipgloss

My Boyfriend took me to Ulta for my birthday and actually spent 5 hours with me in the store trying to find all the things I wanted to buy #truelove

I picked out a new product from Tarte the Lip Sculptor Lipstick & Lipgloss. I picked up the shade Sass. For a moment I was actually displeased with my shade selection. Going home and swatching the gloss it was nude (what I wanted), but swatching the lipstick on my lips....it showed more pink (didn't want). After giving it a go multiple times I realized I actually like this shade. The trick is to blot blot blot the lipstick with tissue after you apply it and then apply the gloss or leave it without gloss.
The website describes this color as "mauve"

This is the lipstick swatched on its own. This color is more pink than the gloss, yet they complement each other well.

This is the gloss swatched on its own.

Both the Lipstick and the Gloss are super hydrating and feel really nice and luxurious on my lips. This product was $20 and I'd say it was worth it, but I won't be buying the whole collection if you know what I mean. If you want to try it, just pick one shade and then go from there $20 adds up quickly.

MILANI CONCEAL + PERFECT 2-IN-1 FOUNDATION + CONCEALER

The Drugstore is popping out new makeup like no tomorrow. This is very exciting for us girls who love to get more bang for our buck!

Milani recently released this new foundation:

source: https://milanicosmetics.com/Conceal-Perfect-2-in-1-Foundation-Concealer.html

I got the shade 07 Sand from my local super Walmart and it's a 100% match :) for about $9.99

I don't use full coverage foundations often. I've had about 3 of them in the past but usually I'm on the go or playing sports and that doesn't require full coverage.

However, I was interested in this foundation because of it's waterproof and sweat-proof claims. I work at a pool and the Maybelline BB cream works excellent but it will eventually wear off so I was curious as to what this foundation's staying power was.

I am certainly impressed with this foundation! It last 4 hours in the pool when teaching swimming lessons and putting my face in the water continuously. When doing lap swimming back and forth across the pool it lasts for awhile but when getting out I notice there is still coverage but it's only slight. It wears down nicely though and doesn't make me look like I'm melting in the water.

Gym proof: I don't really like wearing foundation to the gym because sweat + makeup = possibility for acne. I put this foundation to the test several times and it held up; but when wiping sweat away the foundation will come off as well.

It's currently my go to foundation for going out all day and for special occasions/going out at night with the girls. It's literally no fuss and I don't have to worry about it coming off my face.

It does look a little dewy but the key point is to NOT use alot of product. The more product you use the shinier and greasier you will look. I recommend using a sponge because it kinds of shears out the product so you just look dewy but still have that full coverage.

As for the concealer claim: it will completely get rid of the small imperfections/blemishes on your face. For under-eye blue circles it will try it's best but ultimately you will need to use another concealer on top of that.

Hope that helps :)
